FAQs
What does a health coach do?
A health coach helps you turn good intentions into lasting habits. We work together to identify your goals, overcome obstacles, and create practical strategies that fit your lifestyle. Rather than telling you what to do, I help you discover an approach you can actually maintain.
How do I know if health coaching is right for me?
Is one-on-one health coaching in person or virtual?
One-on-one health coaching can be in-person, virtual or a combination. I am in College Station, TX for in-person meetings.
We start with a free discovery call which takes about 30 minutes. From there, you will be presented with a program that is tailored specifically for you and your needs. You can decide if you would like to work with me based on our discussion and the personalized program I present to you.
What kinds of health concerns can you help with?
I work with adults who want to improve their overall health or reduce their risk of chronic disease. Common goals include:
Heart health
Prediabetes and Type II diabetes
Brain health and memory concerns
Weight management
Increased physical activity
Buiding healthy habits that last
Do I need to have a medical condition to benefit from coaching?
No. Many of my clients simply want to become healthier, have more energy, or reduce their future risk of disease. Health coaching is just as valuable for prevention as it is for managing existing conditions.
What happens during a coaching session?
Each session focuses on your goals, what's working, what's getting in the way, and the next small steps to move forward. You'll leave with a clear plan that's realistic for your life—not a long list of things you "should" do.
How long do clients usually work with you?
Three to six months is a typical range, although some continue longer for ongoing accountability. Lasting change takes time, and regular coaching helps new habits become part of everyday life.
Why do people struggle to make healthy changes even when they know what to do?
Knowing what to do is rarely the hardest part. Most people already know they should eat better, exercise more, sleep well, and manage stress. The challenge is turning that knowledge into consistent action. Health coaching helps you identify what's getting in the way, develop practical strategies, and build habits that fit your real life. The goal isn't perfection—it's steady progress that lasts.
