If you are working towards recovering from a chronic illness, here is some encouragement to help you on your path.
Take one step at a time to make choices that create wellness in your life. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Consciously form good habits. It is through helping yourself with good life habits that you have your best chance to overcome your ill health. If you take the time to make healthier changes, it will be well worth it for you now and in the future.
Face your life challenges. The life challenge for some of us is regaining or recapturing health. As you pursue wellness, you may need to organize your life a little differently than other people and find your own personal enjoyment. Accept what you have been given and work with it creatively. Even with a chronic condition, you can have a beautiful, fulfilling life (even more so if you use it as an opportunity to learn and grow).
Keep moving forward. If you stumble on your path of healing, the most important thing is to pick yourself up as soon as you are able and keep going forward in your quest for health. Always return to your wellness practice without browbeating yourself for missing a step. We all make mistakes. Don’t let a mistake be an excuse to give up or stop moving forward.
Always keep looking for the solution to your chronic condition. Don’t ever give up. Don’t be defeated—chances are that what you need is out there somewhere. Continue to learn. The secret to success is to keep trying.
Stay in the present. It is the things you do and think today that will bring about a rosy future. Do as much as you can to help yourself.
And remember, the most important step to health is for you to start by choosing one aspect of the 3LS Wellness Program.
